Memories from Music Festivals

Music Festivals have shaped my life. I initially started attending small festivals for fun with friends at the end of high school. I immediately took to the environment, the live music, the energy in the crowd, and the release from everyday society. As a broke college student, I could barely afford to go to one festival per year.  However, I found my way inside when I discovered that you could get paid to work at music festivals. For the next several years I threw myself into the festival world, finding any job I could that would get me in the door.

I’ve worked as a bartender, a photographer, an audio and lighting tech, and even went on tour with a taco truck. While the money quickly came and went, the memories will never fade. Years later, I’ve decided to dive into this memory bank and share my experience falling in and out of the festival world. I have chosen to write these stories as honestly as I can remember. Yes, there will be a little bit of sex, a few drugs, and some amazing rock-n-roll. Enjoy the show.
